This house is located in one of the towns of the coast of Barcelona, and its height allows you to observe the landscape of the Maresme area. The slope of the plot itself favors the development of the house on two levels where it was decided to locate on this second floor in contact with the street, the day area, which has the best views of the sea. On the first floor is located the night area, with the children’s rooms and the master suite, which also enjoy magnificent views to the outside.
The access on the second floor opens to a unique space, where all the needs of the family can be found. A living area with living-dining room and kitchen that faces directly to the views, a play area for children, laundry room, bathroom and pantry. This space stands out for its large window that links it to the outside, with its swimming pool as the protagonist.
On the lower floor is located the night area with the different bedrooms, the master suite with private bathroom and dressing room and the gym. All the rooms are in contact with the main facade while the secondary elements such as the garage or spaces for installations are placed at the rear.
The house stands out for its play with materiality through the use of stone, which generates continuity between the exterior and interior spaces and links it directly with the garden, especially with the pool area. Externally, the use of white in elements such as the roof allows it to almost fade away and through the contrast with the carpentry, the importance of its interior is emphasized.
In a climate like the Mediterranean, the house is designed with special attention to the shaded areas, creating porches around the house to protect from the sun.
In the interior, the modernity of the spaces is found with the materiality, with white as the protagonist, and with the furniture, tailored to the needs of its owners.
